Often called “Cidade Maravilhosa” (The Marvellous City), Rio de Janeiro is world renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and location, nestled between lush, green mountains and crystal-clear seas.
Iguazu Falls, located on the border of the State of Parana, is one of the most famous attractions in all of Brazil. Here you can find 275 massive waterfalls shared between Argentina and Brazil and provide vastly different views and experiences.
The Amazon is life, no location on earth can claim to support more life than the Amazon. The Amazon rainforest comprises more than half of the world’s remaining rainforest, and the Amazon River is the second longest in the world.

Based on your nationality you may need a visa to enter the country, most western countries receive a 90 day tourist visa on arrival. Check with your relevant government website for current requirements.
When in public in Brazil, we recommend not wearing jewelry to avoid drawing unnecessary attention. Like all cities and countries around the world there are safe areas and less safe areas. If you intend on visiting a location off the tourist trail, check with your hotel concierge or guide if the location is considered safe.
One of the best things about Brazil is its weather that encourages people to go outdoors and visit the beaches and attractions of its cities. This can mean many hours each day exposed to the sun. If your skin burns easily or if you have a long day of sightseeing planned, we strongly recommend taking sun cream, hats and glasses with you.
Though the yellow fever vaccine is not required to enter Brazil, a number of airlines and transit countries consider it a requirement for foreigners visiting Brazil. Travelers wishing to be vaccinated should consider receiving it prior to travel, as local supplies are limited. Please note that the yellow fever vaccine should be administered ten days prior to travel for it to be effective.
The primary site of the Olympics has been closed to the public and unfortunately is not too interesting to view from the fences that stop people from entering. The location is also an hour from the central tourist locations. Based on the time it takes and the lack of access we do not recommend a tour.
The policy varies from trip to trip and location to location, but in general outside of special events a 30-day cancellation policy applies.
As the 5th largest nation in the world in both area and population, Brazil has a variety of landscapes and cultures to suite every taste.
